Splunk Enterprise Infrastructure Automation with Ansible

Ansible-based automation for deploying and configuring a distributed Splunk Enterprise environment using reusable roles for installation, clustering, forwarding, SSL/TLS, firewall configuration, and supporting services.

This project demonstrates the automation and configuration of a distributed Splunk Enterprise environment using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code principles. The automation is organized into reusable Ansible roles, enabling Splunk components to be deployed and configured consistently and repeatably.

The environment includes an Indexer Cluster, Search Head Cluster, Cluster Manager, Search Head Deployer, Deployment Server, License Manager, Heavy Forwarders, and Universal Forwarders. Supporting automation includes Indexer Discovery, SSL/TLS configuration, firewall rules, host resolution, and Splunk component communication.

The project focuses on the engineering and automation behind deploying a distributed Splunk environment—from defining the architecture and inventory to orchestrating component configuration and dependencies with Ansible.
